This is something close to our heart. Unfortunately, I’m sure we have all been affected by dementia in one form or another, whether it be a parent, friend or relative.
Watching someone you love become confused and disorientated is never easy and this disease can change a person in front of your eyes.
Jackie’s Father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and being someone who cannot sit still for more then 5 minutes, she decided to “put on her walking boots” and raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society who are “working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives”.
On February 1st, Jackie started the epic mission of completing the 1084 mile challenge for the Alzheimer’s Society, with the personal goal of raising £1000.00 and completing the walk by the 29th August (her dad’s Birthday).
She is so close to completing her goal. If you are willing and able, we would love for you to help her to reach her target – just 120km/75miles to go!
